We adopted Topher two years ago today!
We decided to go kitten shopping one Saturday.
The Humane Society was our first stop
and they were low on kittens so we didn't stay long.
We hadn't found any kittens in the on-line classifieds
that we were interested in so we decided to call it a day.
Target was next on our to do list.
We were pulling into the parking lot and noticed a sign reading
"Kittens for Sale" by a crate of kittens.
We stopped and there were 5 or 6 kittens in a crate
with many people looking at them.
The majority were small, black & white kittens
and then there was TOPHER!
He was twice the size of the others.
I was too nervous to crowd in
and I saw other people holding a sweet orange tabby.
We decided to leave and go do our shopping at Target.
When we were leaving we stopped back by
just to see the cats just one more time.
There weren't as many people there
so I was brave and got out to see the kittens.
The black ones were scrawny;
Topher was big and he had a giant tail.
Topher was big and he had a giant tail.
Apparently his mom had no tail and neither did any of his siblings.
Guess he got enough tail for the whole family!
I motioned for Kevin to get out of the car and take a look.
He said he liked the orange one the best.
The lady selling them said he was super lovey
and her kids didn't want to get rid of him.
They'd named him Garfield and had grown quite attached.
We decided that $15 was a bargain and Topher came home with us!
We tell him that we got him from Target :)
We are lucky to have this sweet, purry kitty living at our house.
