Meet Whitney


Hi! My name is Whitney - welcome to Polka-Dotty Place!!

I started blogging back in July of 2011 and have been going strong ever since. Writing is one of my favorite hobbies.

I love to share my recipes, kid activities, DIY projects, organizing tips, party ideas, decorating ideas, parenting tips, good reads, outfit inspirations, family life, travel and much more.  If I love it - I'm going to share it with you.

I blog to document the highs and lows of everyday life.  I LOVE to cook for my family, bake and prepare yummy food.  I enjoy sharing my favorite products, restaurants, hotels and anything else that comes my way.  All opinions are my own and are not sponsored unless noted.

My husband and I grew up in Indiana.  We met when we were five years old and started dating in high school.  We have lived in Utah, Arkansas, Mississippi and are currently back in the Midwest living in Indiana.  We have two kids, two cats and I'm an elementary teacher turned SAHM.

    Nice to "meet' you Whitney!! I just love that you and your husband have known each other so long! Not AS impressive, but I met my husband when we were 13 :) Excited to follow along!

    Hey Whitney!!! I am an Indiana transplant living in Mississippi too!! What part of Indiana did you grow up in? I am from beech grove (south east side of Indy). :)

    I just stumbled upon your blog. I am just starting out (actually started a couple years ago, but didn't stay consistent). I hope to blog at least a few times a week and get my blog up and going. I'm a teacher turned SAHM too. I have a 4 and 2 year old. Life is fun!
