Prime Purchases: HOME Edition

I think I have my best Amazon haul ever to share with you today!

Amazon has really come through for me in the home department these past few weeks.  I've found lots of great things that I can't wait to share with you.  I'll link everything with my Amazon links at the bottom of this post.  They all shipped quickly and we have loved them.

1 // Gold Curtain Rods

I ordered these for our family room.  I loved them so much that I ordered them for our bedroom.  Then I decided that I really loved them and ordered them for 2 more bedrooms.  They're a great price point and they look good with so many kinds of curtains.  There are color and size options and they install really easily (says my husband).  We'd 10/10 recommend them.  They also ship quickly!  We have the gold color.  I'd say they look very brushed brass like to me and not at all a shiny gold.

2 //  White Pom Pom Comforter

I knew I wanted a white comforter in our bedroom and after buying and returning a few, I found the perfect one.  It is super affordable, comes with two pillow shams and a comforter.  My tip if you have a tall or puffy mattress is to size up on the comforter.  We have a queen size bed, but the queen size comforter looked and felt too small.  The sheets were showing and it just didn't look right.  I upgraded to the king size comforter and I'm so happy with it!  I'm so glad I returned the queen size one.  The king size easily covers all sides of the bed without looking too big.  It comes in lots of colors.  I love that it wasn't a huge investment and it really brightens up our room.

3 // Pillow covers

I changed up the colors in our new house and ran into the problem of many of our throw pillows no longer going with our decor.  Instead of buying all new pillows, I shopped on Amazon to get two sets of pillow covers.  I love the gingham and the velvet with pom pom trim.

Bye bye pink and blue pillows!  It's time for a makeover.

4 // King Size Pillows

I upgraded to king size pillows for our bed to go with the king size shams and they look so good.  These pillows are hefty.  They stay in place really well and give great shape to the shams.

5 //White Pom Pom Bed Skirt

This bed skirt wrap sounded perfect to go with my new white comforter.  I love the look of it and it was really easy to put on since it wraps around your box springs instead of having a whole layer to slide under the mattress.

6// OXO Good Grips Squeegee

Our glass shower door needed some attention and this squeegee has been perfect for keeping it clean.

7 // Wood repair kit

We bought this wood crayon/marker repair kit to try to heal some of the moving boo boos our furniture got from the last big move.  I love that the set comes with so many wood color options.  It works great and helps hide any imperfections on your furniture.

8 // Kitchen Aid Flex Beater

I splurged and bought a new kitchen aid flex beater and I wish I would have done it sooner.  It mixes cookie batter so much better than the traditional beater.  I want to buy another one to have as a back up because I love it so much!  If you're a baker, or someone who uses their Kitchen Aid regularly, then you will LOVE this.

9 // Couch Coaster

My husband LOVES his new couch coaster.  He always keeps a drink nearby so he's loved having this nearly spill proof option to set beside himself.  I don't love the look of it, but I do love the idea of drinks not being spilled on our couches or rugs or carpet so I'll allow it :)

10 // Large Cereal Containers

I've always been curious about these cereal containers.  I decided it was time to give them a try to see what the fuss was all about.  I love being able to keep tabs on the cereal quantities and they do keep everything airtight and fresh.  They look much better than the cereal boxes.  And they have been much more toddler proof than a regular cereal box.  I use one for quick cook oats and the rest for cereal.  I don't bother labeling them, but they do come with labels if that is interesting to you.

See what I mean!!??  I found SO MANY great things on Amazon this past month.

  2. I've been wondering about your orange kitty, (I can't remember his name, apologies) you haven't mentioned him in a while and I was hoping he was OK. Glad to see he's still around!

  3. My mixer actually came with that beater, and I just love it. I'm putting the comforter on my shopping idea list. When Jack goes to college, I'm probably going to freshen up all our bedrooms. Thanks so much for linking up to Prime Purchases.

  4. I had been wanting that beater for years!!! I finally "splurged" and bought it last year. Sadly, I don't love it as much as I thought I would. Maybe I need to adjust my mixer a bit, but it's such a hassle to get all the batter off the beater now, I just, ugh. You've inspired me to try it again though.
