Art Show next week

My first art show is happening in 4 days!!
I've been preparing and making accessories for months.
I'm hoping all my hard work will pay off and the show will be a success.

My house looks like a wreck:
All of my products are getting the finishing touches:

Here are the details for the show:

Fall Jingle Bell Wreath

While shopping at JoAnn's recently,
I got sucked into the Halloween/Fall aisles.
I wasn't there for decorations but I couldn't resist.

I found this wreath for 40% off
and I had a coupon for an additional 20% off my entire purchase
(thank you iPhone app)!
So I caved...

At first I thought jingle bells for fall were dumb...
but then I realized they were ACORNS!
I thought it needed a bow
 Happy Fall to you!

Butterfinger Cake

I made this Butterfinger cake for a luncheon last week.
People liked it.
I think I'd prefer a chocolate cake but this was a tasty alternative.
You'll need the following items:
1 yellow cake mix
3 eggs
oil
water
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar of caramel topping
1 8oz cool whip
4 regular sized Butterfinger candy bars

Follow the cake mix directions on the box.
Mix for 3 minutes
Bake in a greased pan for about 30 minutes at 350.
Mix sweetened condensed milk and caramel syrup.
*My mixture slightly resembled George Washington :)
Mix until well combined.
Unwrap Butterfingers
Chop them up.

What is that haunting aroma, Mom???

Let cake cool a bit.
Once cool, slice with serrated knife.
Pour caramel mixture
Sprinkle half of butterfingers on top of cake.
Refrigerate for several hours.
Add cool whip.
Top with remaining candy.
Slice and eat.

HF4F

It's been a busy week at my house.
Here were the best parts:
1. My class and I are having a lot of fun graphing football scores.
We graph wins and points earned.
Then we have a student pretend to be a reporter and report on the latest.
We chose two big teams in Utah (Utah and BYU) and my favorite (Notre Dame).

2. My current motto:

3. I feel pretty lucky to have my own personal assistant to help me grade papers.

 4. Had my first pumpkiny treat of the season this week courtesy of Great Harvest.

5. I'm working like crazy trying to get ready for my art show next week.
Here's a sneak peak of what I'm going to be selling:
Accessory Palooza!
